Triple j’s 2023 Hottest 100 voting now open

Voting for 2023’s triple j Hottest 100 are now open via the website and the app with headspace this year’s charity partner.

Last year’s countdown received more than 2.4 million votes, a record, as was Flume’s No 1, Say Nothing featuring MAY-A, not because the Australian producer has twice topped the poll (Powderfinger did that first) but because he’s the first to have held every position in the top five in countdowns (he’s had a song at No 8 too).

This year the countdown has an epic trailer.

It’s a shot-for-shot remake of one of the biggest TV moments of the year, See if you can spot G Flip, Flume, Genesis Owusu, Jack River, Kobie Dee, Murray from the The Wiggles (that’s an easy one), and heaps of others. triple j’s Bryce & Concetta, Abby & Tyrone, Lucy Smith, Dave Woodhead, The Hook Up’s Dee Salmin and Pip Rasmussen, Blak Out’s Nooky and Ash McGregor from Home & Hosed also feature.

The triple j website shares artist’s voting suggestions and lets you know how you can enter the Golden Ticket competition; two tickets to every triple j-supported gig and festival for a year.

Headspace, the National Youth Mental Health Foundation, is this year’s charity partner. Purchasing a Hottest 100 t-shirt for $45 provides a young person with one hour of peer support. You can additionally donate however much you like.
