Andy Lee’s new game show The Cube came second in its timeslot last night across the metro markets, with an audience of 567,000.

This placed it behind Married At First Sight on Channel 9, which had 891,000 metro viewers.

Both options beat the ABC’s 7.30 (536,000), and Channel 7’s Ambulance: Code Red (255,000).

With the addition of regional viewers, Channel 10’s The Cube had 782,000 national viewers, placing it behind both MAFS (1.191 million) and 7.30 (819,000).

It placed second behind MAFS in the key advertising demographics of those aged 16 to 39, as well as ‘grocery shopper with child’. It was fourth with those aged 25 to 54, behind MAFS and both segments of Seven News.

Channel 10 had an 11.8% share of viewing for the evening, behind Channel 9’s 24.7%, Channel 7’s 14.3% and the ABC’s 12.2%. SBS was on 5.8%.

It was second, however, with those aged 16 to 39, with a 14.9% share behind Channel 9’s 18.9%. It was also second in the 25 to 54s, with 15.3% to Channel 9’s 28.9%.
