Survey 4 sees Jase & Lauren leap further ahead in Melbourne FM Breakfast

Nova 100’s Jase & Lauren have increased their lead as Melbourne’s #1 FM Breakfast show in GfK Survey 4 – up 0.6 to 10.8 share with a 23,000 lift in cume.

Gold 104.3’s The Christian O’Connell rose 0.4 to 10.1 and remains second among the FMs – backed by standout performances across the day with Dave ‘Higgo’ Higgins #1FM and Toni Tenaglia and Steve Fitton both #1 overall in their respective timeslots, and Gold being crowned Melbourne’s #1 station for the first time in over 30 years.

The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick remain third among the FM Breakfast teams, holding steady at 8.9.

Of particular note was the latest set of numbers for Triple M’s Mick in the Morning with Roo, Titus & Rosie Breakfast show – which jumped 1.5 to a 7.4 and grew its audience to 333,000.

ARN can breathe at least a small sigh of relief on the KIIS Breakfast side of things.

Despite their well-documented struggle to resonate with Melbourne listeners, Kyle & Jackie O moved up half a percentage point to now hold a 5.6 share, with an overall lift of 6000.

In Sydney, Kyle and Jackie O remain the clear #1 FM Breakfast show, up 1.4 to a 13.9 share.

Survey 4 rounds out a strong first half of the year for NOVA Entertainment, with 14 consecutive surveys as the most listened to metro network in Australia.

Nova’s Group Programming Director Brendan Taylor said “To be in this position at the halfway mark sets us up for what could be a milestone 2025.”

“In particular, Jase & Lauren continue to be one of the most competitive and talked about breakfast shows in the country. For them to grow in both share and cume, leading Nova 100 to the most listened to station in the country, is no small feat. It’s a testament to the whole team.”

Despite a 1.5 dip to a 16.6 share this book, 3AW Breakfast with Ross and Russ still dominates the state of play.

After posting the biggest increase of any of the Melbourne AM and FM Breakfast shows in Survey 3, the ABC’s Sharnelle Vella and Bob Murphy dropped 0.8 to 6.8.

Think today’s proves Breakfast shows cant be networked. Sure other shows can be done reasonably but not breakfast.
