NOVA Entertainment’s Star 104.5 has announced that Sarah Forster will join its Breakfast show in 2020.

The Rabbit & Sarah Breakfast show will formally kick off on February 24, though Forster has been filling in on the slot alongside Dave ‘Rabbit’ Rabbetts since January 20 this year following the departure of Julie Goodwin.

No stranger to the station, Forster relocated from Sydney to the Central Coast three years ago, and has been a regular voice on Star ever since.

She has spent over 16 years in radio and news, having won the Brian White award and held roles at Southern Cross Austereo, 2UE, WSMF, Nova and smoothfm.

“Sarah’s upbeat and engaging personality makes her the perfect fit to join Star 104.5 in breakfast,” said Star 104.5 program director Shayne Sinclair.

“Filling in for Julie Goodwin since the start of the year, Sarah has done a tremendous job and has well and truly earned the opportunity to join the show full time. Rabbit & Sarah will do a show that’s always upbeat, family friendly, and distinctively Star 104.5. It’s live, local, hometown radio!”

“The past few weeks have been a blast, so I am ecstatic to be joining Rabbit on Star FM breakfast on a permanent basis. It’s the best job and the best place in the world,” Forster added.

She joins Rabbit, who has over 30 years experience in radio, having worked at Nova 96.9 and SAFM in Australia, as well as multiple networks in New Zealand.

He joined Star in 2015 and has broadcast Breakfast with Goodwin since 2016.

“I’ve been completely blown away with how the Coast embraced Sarah while she was filling in on the show,” said Rabbetts.

“She was stepping into some pretty big, and colourful shoes, and she’s fitted in perfectly. I’m stoked that’s she’s agreed to join us full time!”
