Waleed Aly launches ‘So Now What?’ podcast via 10 Speaks

Former Editor & Content Director

Another TV personality has made his way into podcasting, with Channel 10’s Waleed Aly launching So Now What? via the network’s 10 Speaks platform.

Aly is a Walkley Award-winning journalist, commentator and academic who currently co-hosts The Project on Channel 10.

His So Now What? podcast will explore what the future might look like as the world emerges from the shadow of COVID-19.

The first episode questions how strong our social cohesion might be.

Publicity for the podcast noted that while the cliche may be that “we’re all in this together”, the pandemic has hit some much harder than others.

“Well before the virus, rising inequality, violent extremism, social media, tribal and bitter politics were all making Australia a harsher and more divided community,” an announcement said.

“Age, gender, wealth, job sector and cultural background are all factors likely to play a major role in how we experience the pandemic and just as importantly, what our life, and prosperity, will be like on the other side.”

New episodes will be released every Monday.

Other 10 Speaks podcasts include Short Black With Sandra Sully, The Professor and The Hack, and The Reality Bite: Cocktails and Roses.
