SEN App launches on Apple Watch

Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) have launched the SEN App on the Apple Watch, bringing users an industry first in Australia that provides more ubiquitous access to SEN content.

SEN users can now live stream all 40 stations in Australia (and 29 in New Zealand) directly from their wrist, keeping SEN’s sport and racing fans up to date anywhere.

“We’ve expanded SEN’s digital content offering to the Apple Watch, meaning SEN is now available on your phone, on the web, in stadiums, on CarPlay and Android Auto,” said SEN Product and Development Director, Ricky D’Amelio.

“What it means is listeners can still keep up with live sport and racing while out exercising or away from their other devices.”

“And because of the work we’ve done with improvements to our audio streaming tech, our calls are often a second or so ahead of live TV.”

All breakfast programs, live sports and catch-up podcasts can be streamed directly from the SEN App on the Apple Watch.

SEN is also available at stadiums like the MCG and Optus Stadium to listen to zero-delay live commentary during AFL matches.

“Over the last six months, we’ve been experimenting with the technology and how it integrates with the rest of our tech stack. We waited for the moment when the experience could be good enough for our users, and also so it was built in a way that we can offer it to our partners in the future.”

“Our goal is just about providing a great user experience and telling our technical story.”
