Rove McManus and Sam Frost made their debut this morning as 2Day FM’s new breakfast team. You can take a listen to two hours of their first show.

Already this morning we’ve heard from number of people with their thoughts on Rove & Sam and while you can’t base their future on the very FIRST show, here is what some thought. The comments are mainly from experience Metro EP’s, CD’s and Consultants.

“It will take at least a year or two given both these talents are new to radio. It’s far too early to judge”

“Chris Martin a great get for day 1. Though Kiis had Oprah”

“Some of the irreverent sweepers are a bit off the mark, music was good and entertainment was spot on”

“Ha it’s only Day 1. Sounded nervous as expected. It’s going to take quite some time to get these two up to Sydney weekday breakfast standard”.

“They need to carve out a clear guest strategy”

“You can’t expect these guys to be great on day 1. all the great shows take a good year or so to settle in and develop chemistry. developing chemistry with Rove and Sam is really key to their success. And the other shows have been together for 5, 10, 15 or more years. It takes time”

“The key question is “what is this show’s point of difference. How is it going to be different to other breakfast shows in Sydney”
