Rabs and Susie reminisce on Nova breakfast

Reporter

Love was in the air between Ray “Rabs” Warren and Susie O’Neill on the Nova 106.9 Brisbane breakfast show this morning when the team chatted with the iconic sports caller to pay tribute to his legacy, following the announcement of his retirement.

Rabs called Susie’s favourite race and they reminisced about that day.

Rabs’ report card is extraordinary, his iconic voice has been the soundtrack to Australian sport for years.

He professed his surprise at the interest there had been about him calling it quits.

He also discussed the trauma of getting a tricky name wrong live on air, and the privilege of laying down the soundtrack to some of the best sporting moments in history.

You can listen to it here.

Nice story Sarah . . . This is what radio does so well. . . Theatre of the mind.
Paint the picture then then let the air dry the scene . Cheers!
