After 11 years of making podcasts for Guardian Australia, Miles Martignoni is leaving to pursue his next career adventure.

Miles – Head of Audio, Australia at Guardian News & Media – confirmed in a LinkedIn post that he has accepted a redundancy following a recent restructure.

“I’ve done so many things I’m proud of at The Guardian: amazing collaborations with some of the best journalists in the business, won awards, built out our video podcast capacity, great collaborations with the video team, made a prototype app, recruited some of the best producers in the country and I had a lot of fun diving into the data again and again trying to figure out what worked best!!”

“The team are some of the best in Australia and I wish them well for the future.”

For now, Miles looks forward to spending more time with his growing family but says “I know how much I love this space and I’m sure I’ll be out there having chats to people about what’s out there very soon.”
