Surfing great Mick Fanning talks about life, loss and his own near-death encounter on the latest ep of LiSTNR‘s Darling, Shine! podcast.

One of five children, three of Mick’s siblings have passed away. He shares with hosts Chloe and Ellidy how he dealt simultaneously with grief and the joy of the safe arrival of his own child.

“I got to see that beauty come into life. And I swear, she’s the thing that’s kept me smiling all year. From being right at the bottom of life to the top of the life, it’s just truly incredible.”
