There’s been a spectacular surge to the top from American author and ‘Let Them’ guru Mel Robbins in the latest Triton Digital Australian Podcast Ranker, with The Mel Robbins Podcast snaring the #1 spot as the nation’s most popular podcast.

It climbed a phenomenal 19 places to grab the top spot from the previous leader, ABC News Top Stories, with Mamamia Out Loud, Shameless and Casefile: True Crime rounding out the top five.

LiSTNR’s Hamish & Andy podcast dropped five spots to #10.

ARN’s iHeart has secured another #1 ranking as the top podcast publisher, in the latest Australian Podcast Ranker.

It has now held this title for 57 consecutive rankers, with 6.5 million listeners and 22.7 million downloads in the last month alone.

Overall, iHeart represents 45 of Top 200 podcasts, with highlights including Casefile: True Crime at #5 overall and Life Uncut at #9.

It comes as iHeart extends key partnerships with Audioboom and Sony, and building on recent collaborations with BBC Studios late last year and Exactly Right Media last month. Added to these are long standing partnerships with Clubby Sports, Channel 7 and The New York Times.

Corey Layton, ARN’s Head of Digital Audio, said: “Celebrating our fifth anniversary as Australia’s #1 podcast publisher is a huge achievement and highlights iHeart’s dedication to delivering outstanding audio content.”
