Listen: Matt Okine & Alex Dyson reunite on The Hit Network

Former Assistant Editor
Matt and Alex

Former triple j Breakfast team Matt & Alex have reunited on the air, for a cameo appearance on the Hit Network‘s ‘The Sunday Experiment’.

Listeners were surprised to hear the pair on Sunday evening, with their show airing from 8pm-10pm.

On their first break, Matt questioned whether this particular experiment was much of one at all.

“You reckon the scientists… have got it wrong?” asked Alex.

“This experiment is as safe as chocolate milk and a sausage roll at smoko!” said Matt.

“We have done radio before… but in those days we were young ravers, ” said Alex.

Matt & Alex finished three years together on triple j Breakfast at the end of 2016, and still have a cult following.

‘The Sunday Experiment’ is part of Southern Cross Austereo’s development program ‘SCA Hubble’, and a spokesperson for SCA explained to Radio Today that the show has a rotating roster.

That means you’re not likely to hear Matt & Alex for too many more shifts in the slot.

They couldn’t be going to do 2Dayfm breakfast they are not TV ” celebrities ” They would need to be on a cheesy game show first.

Why’s everyone so down on the tech that allows people to broadcast a show from two different studios? The number 1 drive show in the country does it and it’s worked for them for years.

These guys haven’t done much since they got axed by triple J. Must be lean times if they’re going for a job at the *hit network.

They have been spruiking themselves for over 3 years now. Didn’t they get the message ? Commercial radio are not interested.

Bitter much?

Geez… The negativity in some comments on this site… Curious, are you competitors of SCA or still stuck in Dubbo and bitter you haven’t “made it” yet?
