KIIS Network announces new evening line-up for 2025

Reporter

The KIIS Network has today announced its new slate of evening shows for 2025.

Live from Monday January 20, DJ Triple XL will take over weeknights.

Part of the KIIS family for years, DJ Triple XL’s blend of hits and special mixes will be heard from 7-8pm across KIIS 106.5 in Sydney, KIIS 101.1 in Melbourne and KIIS 97.3 in Brisbane.

Following DJ Triple XL, Zach Mander and Dom Fay (main photo) move into their new timeslot of 8pm until 10pm each weeknight across The KIIS Network in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Zach & Dom previously hosted Up Late with Zach & Dom across The KIIS Network and took over the Breakfast shift during summer.

Zach says “The KIIS Network only hires the most famous and talented announcers, but we knew they couldn’t monitor the door 24/7. Now that we’ve snuck in, we’re not leaving.”

Dom adds  “Zach and I dream of being the last remaining voices broadcasting in the post-apocalyptic world. This new time slot is a great stepping stone towards achieving that dream. We can’t wait to get started.”

Tune into DJ Triple XL from 7pm on Monday January 20, and Zach & Dom from 8pm, Tuesday January 28 across The KIIS Network, or listen via the free iHeart app.

So they got rid of Mitch Churi for them? Unbelievable! What a loss.

You’re kidding me. Gutting Mitch churi from the KIIS network to be replaced? I’m sorry but ARN have lost my support. This is a bad bad move.

This is boring.

I’m sure these boys are nice enough and their show is fine but replacing Mitch Churi with this is the dumbest move I’ve seen in a long time.

Complete bullshit this is! Going from Mitch Churi to these guys? Who even are these guys? And a DJ and special mixed? No one really gives a shit.
Going from only having to pay one person’s salary to now 3, literally make it make sense.

Bunch of idiots KIIS are to of gotten rid of the most talented radio presenter, what a downfall KIIS is going to have this year, it’s already turned to shit if you ask me, it’s their turn to suffer, having to watch Mitch Churi go and achieve better and greater things, they’ve done it to themselves!

I think it’s important to note for those commenting in the negative, that these boys have been part of the KIIS network from the past, and are (I believe) not on full time contracts… You go from a host that was probably up for a pay review and increase… and keep all the other costs the same… Essentially wipes a couple 100k off the books. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a massive loss… but this is not a new show replacing them, just 3 hours less of local talent (a 1 hour mix, and a 2 hour show brought forward by 2 hours).

Again – this is NOT a replacement show, it’s just an existing one brought forward

Mitch Churi is talented. And his redundancy is one of several decisions ARN have made recently that I don’t particularly like.

But realistically, I think Zach & Dom + “DJ Triple XL” (whoever he is) would be getting roughly the same or only slightly more between them, than what Mitch Churi used to get on his own. This of course, is assuming that Churi’s roles on “The Pick Up” and to a lesser extent “Is It Just Me? The Podcast” in addition to The Night Show, would’ve bumped up his market value.

ARN are probably still saving money one way or another, given that it’s not unreasonable to assume the Late Night timeslot Z&D used to hold will (more likely than not) now be filled by automated tunes.

Oh well, at least *some* effort is still being made with KIIS at night. WSFM/Gold has been an automated snoozefest after 7pm/8pm for years which is probably to their ratings detriment given how Smooth performs on weeknights…and weekends where Gold has long also lacked something, but I digress!

All of these comments have no idea how it works. Who knows if Mitch was out of contract or the cost was negative to the business gain; Zac and Dom maybe in a contract and had no choice; so many things it could be. It’s simple to sit on a keyboard and pass comments that are not informed. Mitch was ok, but superstar he isn’t in my opinion. Calm down. Radio plays on and no one really cares about nights in the business sense.

Churi was cut as they could not afford his salary after paying K & J so much to do the lowest rating Melbourne show.

They are putting all eggs in K & J show. I really hope it pays off.

I loved Churi and his podcast with a couple of mitches

Congrats Zac and Dom! You guys have always worked hard and been in the industry a long time. It’s nice to see you in a new spot. Looking forward to the show, you’ve created some incredible moments and are extremely creative.

Very sad to see Mitch go, he is a great talent, but no reason to put down others, especially if you don’t know them.

ARN = laughing stock, they wouldn’t even know what talent was and don’t seem to care , all they seem to care about is Kyle and Jackie and they’re tanking

@Chill – I think people are simply confused as it is a sub par product. ARN have made some very peculiar decisions as of late, audiences are well within their rights to question them.
