K & J go live from new state of the art studios
Reporter
As Kyle & Jackie O begin broadcasting live from their new state of the art studios in North Sydney this morning, KIIS 101.1 listeners are a day away from finding out when the duo will hit the airwaves in Melbourne.
K & J are set to reveal the big date tomorrow morning (Tuesday) at 8am.
This morning’s event was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony officiated by NSW Premier Chris Minns.
Located in the iconic Coca-Cola Place, Kyle & Jackie O’s new headquarters boasts high-tech features and a purpose-built design.
Kyle asked the Premier on air “Would you agree with me this is the most technically advanced studio you’ve ever seen?”
Jackie O added “It’s like NASA out there.”

I hope listeners in Melbourne will be enjoying that nice Sydney view….
Hkn, announcers broadcast from Melb to Sydney eg MMM Sydney has Mick Molloy, 2DayFM have morning and afternoon announcers out of Melb. It’s not new.
Hopefully they changed there upgraded to Omnia 9 processors.Because there sound quality is rubbish.
@ Aussiecam58 yes I know but do they actually have window view to oversee bridge and Opera? ….how do they rate? Don’t think Sydney’s 2Day Morning crew broadcasting from Melbourne is a HiT in Sydney….no do Mmm
What’s so state of the art? More lights than the last studio?
“K & J are set to reveal the big date tomorrow morning (Tuesday) at 8am.”
Toss of a coin (or maybe slightly better) that it’s actually tomorrow.
Even partial soft launch with shared broadcast.
Wonder what happen with the Macquarie Park studio that houses KIIS, WS FM and Cada? Is that still in use meaning the North Sydney studio is for Kyle and Jackie O only?
Our household won’t have them on our radio
@John you can make an omnia sound just as aweful when you dont know what your doing
