Jodie and Hayesy return to the Adelaide airwaves early

Nova 919’s Jodie and Hayesy returned to the airwaves earlier than expected this year, delivering a pop-up show on Saturday in anticipation of their start today.

“We were sick of waiting around, so thought why not jump in early and dust the cobwebs off,” said Hayesy.

The pair retuned on Friday in preparation for their early pop-up show on Saturday, 7 January, days before their planned launch.

“We wanted to get stuck in early to give Hayesy all the practice he’s going to need … gotta start somewhere!” said Jodie.

Jodie & Hayesy will be heard on weekdays in breakfast alongside Ben, Liam & Belle from 6-7am, with the new duo kicking off from 7-9am on Nova 919.

Hayesy got his radio career started off the back of a football career that includes four premierships with the SANFL Central Districts. Hayesy made a name for himself as a sports reporter for Channel Seven and as co-host of SEN’s breakfast show.

Jodie is one of Adelaide’s most experienced radio announcers, spending 13 years as the host of the Mix breakfast and has been a freelance presenter and journalist for Network Ten for over 20 years.

Jodie & Hayesy returned today, Monday 9 January at 7am on Nova 919 for their official launch.

Loved the show. Great chemistry from the team. Very happy we didn’t lose Newsreader Abbey to Melbourne. She’s a natural and you can tell she’s a local. That’s who you want reading your city’s news.

Terrible call in my opinion, Nova for the first time won Breakfast targeting a more youth market so to replace them with these 2 will just repel all those listeners. To add to this SAFM is going with a almost exact type of duo so they are fighting for the same target audience, while the audience Ben & Liam built just falls to the waste side

Nova were on a real winner in Adelaide now
bringing back Jodie against Mix and SAFM could be a big mistake. Looks like SCA could be number one and two FM in Adelaide soon enough.

SCA must be laughing at this, Triple M should go well.
