“Is red my colour?” – Mitch Churi joins Nova
Mitch Churi returns to radio tomorrow morning, January 27 from 7 -10am, for a one off special across the Nova Network in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.
Mitch said:
“Coming from hosting shows daily for almost a decade, the last five weeks off air have felt like an eternity, so to be invited into the Nova world for the day has me feeling all the emotions. Plus, red is so my colour.
It’s our big first date tomorrow and I’m a massive flirt, so who knows where it might lead. I have a huge show planned…I’m calling in some major celeb pals to bring some star power, so I’ll see you at 7am!”
Mitch’s celeb guests, so far, include Meghan Trainor, Tones & I and Callum Scott. Tones and I responded to Mitch’s announcement on Insta by saying:
“Screaming, crying, throwing up❤️”
Excellent news for the popular broadcaster who was let go from ARN last November with DJ Triple XL and Zach & Dom (Zach Mander and Dom Fay) replacing him on KIIS Network nights.
For Nova Entertainment, there is no way this is a one off. More to come, we suspect.
The regular Nova Breakfast shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth all return on Tuesday January 28. Nova Brisbane’s Breakfast has already started with new host Nikki Osborne joining Ash & Luttsy.

Love this for Mitch and for Nova! ARN is starting to look like a fool letting good talent go. He looks WAY BETTER in red! BT is a smart man.

You bring me lessons with you kiss in Melbourne Sydney and Brisbane as well as listeners Mix list from Adelaide and maybe some purchases that you could bring as well
Sloppy seconds. Attention grabbing when they should be focussed on returns of their major shows. Amateur hour these days in programming. Not a game changer.

With all the attention on K&JO, Nova is doing future planning of their own. Mitch Churi, Ben, Liam & Belle, Mel & Matty, Maddi Rowe all waiting in the wings.
Listened to Mitch this morning on Nova and the fire was there! He sounded even better and it was a great move by Nova to snap him up! I feel that this is not the last time we will hear him on Nova! Give the boy a full time gig STAT! He is a real talent!
I wonder if he in the wings if smallzys retires?
Mitch would do lot better than Smallsy.
