Heartwarming reunion on the Ali Clarke Breakfast Show

This week, Adelaide’s Mix 102.3 has been reuniting listeners with their dads for Father’s Day.

Earlier this year, the Ali Clarke Breakfast Show hired a private investigator to help reunite people with their biological parents, an old flame and even estranged family members.

Ali says “It got us thinking about the fathers and children out there who are in touch with their loved ones but can’t get to them or get them here.”

A heartwarming reunion on air this week involved Amy, who’d been estranged from her father since her mother passed away.

Amy explained, “When mum passed, dad lost his purpose. We eventually had an argument a year after mum passed and now haven’t spoken to dad for five years.”

Amy said “I felt like I lost two parents the day mum passed.”

As the interview goes on, Ali reveals that Amy’s dad Eric isn’t actually on the phone in Dubbo but is in fact in the Mix 102.3 Adelaide studios ready to reunite with his daughter.

Ali says “It was an absolute honour to be part of this life-changing moment bringing back together a father and his daughter.”
