What happens when a beloved radio presenter and high-profile footy star bond over their shared love of music?

You get a podcast celebrating everything from album obsessions and unforgettable live shows to the moments that shaped the music world

Former triple j host Bridget Hustwaite and Fremantle AFL captain Alex Pearce have teamed up to launch Fan to Fan this week.

It’s a seasonal music podcast, featuring honest conversations and shared experiences.

Hustwaite and Pearce connect with artists, public figures and each other, breaking down records, swapping stories and geeking out over the music they love.

Their debut season features and impressive line up of guests, including Paul Kelly, Beyond the Valley Co-Founder Nick Greco and former West Coast Eagles player Mitch Brown.

Fan to Fan blends Hustwaite’s music industry insights and interviewing experience with Pearce’s curiosity and unique perspective from the sporting world.

In Episode One, Hustwaite and Pearce turn the mic on each other, talking about their friendship and the story behind the podcast.

Hustwaite says “I’m so excited to be embarking on this new project and getting back to my core passion: music. It’s the reason I work in media, and I’ve really missed have that connection with listeners.”

“It’s also my first time having a co-host, which makes it even more special. Moose and I have hit quite a few gigs together in Fremantle and are always swapping songs, so it’s really cool to see him step into the podcast world and for people to get to know him beyond footy.”

Pearce says “I’ve always been a huge music fan, and with the AFL off-season, it was perfect timing to start this podcast and try something different.”

“I used to listen to Bridge on triple j, so I feel like I’m in good hands for something like this.”

Episodes of Fan to Fan are available now on all major podcast platforms. Video clips from each ep are shared on Instagram. And accompanying playlist featuring all the music discussed is available on Spotify and Apple Music.
