RØDE Prize winner Ciaran Moffatt launches podcast network

Ciaran Moffatt (pictured left) has been hard at work since winning last year’s Radio Today Podcast Awards RØDE Prize, announcing the launch of his podcast company, P. Zinner & Co. yesterday. 

The Adelaide-based podcast company was founded by winner Ciaran and former Ampel Senior Producer Justin McArthur (pictured right) to support podcasters in Adelaide. 

Ciaran said it’s no secret that winning the RØDE Prize levelled up his podcasting capabilities to create the new network. 

“I’ve been putting the Rodecaster Pro II to good use, producing my own podcasts as well as others, and it’s due in no small part to this win that I have been working hard the last few months to start my own podcast network and hosting business,” Ciaran said.

“Winning the RØDE Prize really levelled up my game, and through P. Zinner, has allowed me to go on to help others achieve in turn.”

With P. Zinner & Co., Ciaran wants to help other creatives in his hometown of Adelaide compete against the industry’s big dogs. 

“People in the radio industry would have you believe that you need to buy the best tech and spend big to get yourself out there. In practce, you just need two things: a microphone and an idea,” Ciaran said. 

“It’s never been easier to start a podcast.”

The P. Zinner Network wants to remove the technical barrier between an idea and an outcome that new podcasters face, freeing up creators to focus on making their show and growing their audience.

“We believe Adelaide is due for a ‘podcast boom’ and we hope to be a part of bringing it here,” Ciaran said. 

P. Zinner co-founder and business manager Justin McArthur said joining a network can give creators more support and confidence.
