Reporter

It’s official.

Melbourne’s 101.9 The Fox Brekky team of Fifi, Fev & Nick – along with their anchor Josiah Shala – are world record holders.

After broadcasting live non-stop for 27 hours under a strict and meticulous set of rules, they now hold the Guinness World Record for Longest Marathon For A Radio Music Show DJ (Team).

The team started their broadcast yesterday at 6am, wrapping up this morning at 9.

An official Guinness World Record adjudicator was on site from go to whoa, making sure all the rules were followed to the letter.

Fifi, Fev and Nick said “Wow! There is not a better radio station in Australia, we could not have done this without our entire team. We’re so grateful to everyone who supported us through this record attempt and our amazing listeners and friends of the show who stayed with us the entire time! Most of all, we are so thrilled to have this Guinness World Record® for Melbourne.”

And let me guess, next week they’re starting a brand new radio contest called the Secret Sound?

What were the rules because this is definitely not a world record. B105 has done this multiple times. Start at 6am on the Thursday and finish at 9am the next day
