Fev lands big catch to set new world record

Brendan Fevola of Melbourne’s Fifi, Fev and Nick at The Fox 101.9 set the new Guinness World Record for the ‘Highest Altitude Catch of an American Football’ on September 1st.

Fev set out to break the record previously achieved by American Footballer Rob Gronkowski, who successfully caught the ball as it fell out of a helicopter at 188.9m (620 feet) in April 2021, but 188.9m wasn’t enough.

Smashing the record by 40 metres, Fev caught the ball as it was dropped from a helicopter at Calton’s Princes Park to set the new record at 221.89 metres (727.98 ft)

Living by the classic never give up attitude, this was Fev’s second attempt at taking the record after taking a dive that didn’t shake his commitment.

With the whole team behind him, Fev got the job done.
