Ben and Liam to judge Generation Fresh as Top 5 is revealed
This morning on Adelaide’s Fresh 927, brekky hosts Tom and Callum were paid a visit from arguably the most famous Freshies of all time, Ben Harvey and Liam Stapleton (apologies to Loz and Lehmo).
And during the show, Ben and Liam were announced as the celebrity judges for Generation Fresh.
Ben said “We’re a little worried about Generation Fresh, we’ve seen and heard the entries and we’re worried they’re coming after our jobs.”
Liam quipped “The real reason we got involved is to crush the opposition at a grassroots level.”

Tom and Callum also announced the Top 5 Generation Fresh finalists, who include tradies, a psychic medium, a podcaster and teacher and optometrist. Even eCommerce is represented.
#funfact -80% of the Top 5 Generation Fresh finalists are women.
Each of the five finalists will co-host the breakfast show for one day this week, with the knowledge that Ben and Liam will be listening and judging every word they say.
“When we started at Fresh, we had no idea what we were doing (and we still don’t) so it feels only right to come full circle and judge the next generation,” Ben and Liam said.
The Generation Fresh winner will be announced next Monday by Ben and Liam on Fresh 927.
The prize includes a weekend show on Fresh 927, a scholarship to the Australian Radio School Masterclass later this year and a victory party with the Fresh team – plus a serious chance to be in the running for the next full time on air paid gig at Fresh.
Fresh 927 Content Director Sean Craig Murphy said “One of the hardest things about cracking it in this industry is ensuring the right people know you even exist. Hopefully we’ve made that easier by shining the light on 15 very different personalities over the last four weeks.”
“It’s definitely been fun for the Fresh fam too and we love the way the industry has supported it.”
How good is that. There is a wholesome feel good vibe about Ben and Liam a couple of home town boys who’ve done good, returning to their roots and helping a fellow fresher on there way .
