B105 workday jock resigns

Staff Writer

B105 workday announcer Pete Curulli has resigned from the station.

Pete tells us:

“I’ve had a great time at B105, I love what I do, being on the air, the team, and the industry, my background is fishmongering, I always say we’re the lucky ones at the most basic level of appreciation for what we do because I know what it’s like to have my hands in fish guts all day.

"At the very core of it I’m a Perth boy from a big Italian family, bar the last 4 years they’ve always been around, I’ve missed the noise in the house, and as much as I love radio, my family will always come first and I’m looking forward to taking those next steps in my personal life with my partner and we feel it’ll be done best with the support of family around us.

"Radio wise I’ve felt for a little while that I’m ready for that next challenge now so if I manage to end up back in it somewhere hitting my career bullseye then that’s just a great bonus to what’s already been an incredible journey that I never thought would go as far as it has done.”

Pete will move back west at the end of the year.

Earlier this year you voted him as the best new talent to watch in 2013 after hearing this audio ….
