ARN introduce new ShakeMe interactive advertising to iHeartRadio

Staff Writer

In an Australian broadcasting first, ARN has launched interactive audio advertising across its iHeartRadio platforms.

The ShakeMe technology encourages listeners to shake their mobile phone when they hear a tailored call to action which will trigger their device to place a phone call, download a coupon or open a landing page the next time the phone is opened.

Geraint Davies, COO of iHeartRadio Australia, sees the move as an investment in iHeartRadio’s digital future.

“There is massive penetration of mobile ownership in Australia and a rapid migration of radio listening onto digital platforms like iHeartRadio,” Davies said.

“When you combine those things with the ShakeMe technology, which allows advertisers to give consumers the control to instantly interact further with the brand while listening to their ad with just a simple shake of their phone, you have an incredibly powerful marking tool.”

The initiative is a part of ARN’s 2017 rollout of their targeting advertising delivery system.
