And that’s a wrap: Robin, Kip & Corey host their final brekky show on KIIS 97.3

There were tears, laughter (and the odd Kenny Rogers song) this morning, as Robin Bailey, Kip Wightman and Corey Oates officially wrapped up their final Breakfast show on Brisbane’s KIIS 97.3, with the trio opting to finish up two weeks ahead of schedule.

Under a network shake-up announced by ARN last month, the Robin, Kip & Corey Oates brekky show was axed, with Craig ‘Lowie’ Low taking over KIIS Brisbane Breakfast in 2026.

In saying goodbye for the last time today, the trio recreated the ambiguous final scene from The Sopranos.

Bombarded with texts and messages from well wishers throughout the morning, they delivered a high-energy show, re-living all their favourite moments of the year, playing a montage of highlights and thanking their extended team.

Signing off for the last time, Robin cried as she said “It just feels so sad and so stupid that something so good is being taken off us. But I will say, Brisbane, for 35 plus years, you have held me and Kip and Corey recently aloft … I would not have survived without you.”

In paying tribute to his co-hosts, Corey said “It’s been so much fun. I’ve learnt so much. The two of you helping me on air – I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else, so thank you.”

Kip said to Robin: “You’re brilliant, not just at radio, but at life. I don’t know where you’re going to wind up … you’ve got so many options available to you. I’m extremely confident you’re going to kick on next year.”

Whilst Robin recently released her memoir Flamingos Aren’t Born Pink, this week, Wightman and Oates announced they’d be teaming up with former NRL star Sam Thaiday for an unofficial Broncos-themed podcast.
