ACE Radio Broadcasters donates $2,332 to Beyond Blue in support of mental health

In a remarkable show of solidarity and commitment to mental health awareness, ACE Radio Broadcasters has announced a donation of $2,332 to Beyond Blue.

It follows the September Step Challenge, where 183 participants from the ACE Radio Network collectively walked and ran 9,602 kilometres to support this vital cause.

Spearheaded by the ACE Radio Broadcasters Health & Wellbeing Committee, the September Step Challenge was a month-long event that encouraged participants to log each kilometre they walked or ran.

CEO Mark Taylor pledged to donate $0.20 for every kilometre travelled, motivating participants to step up for mental health awareness.

The results were astounding, with participants from various ACE Radio Network stations going above and beyond to support Beyond Blue.

The network-wide effort resulted in a total of 9,602.29 kilometres covered, reflecting the dedication and enthusiasm of ACE Radio’s employees.

The Network’s champion team was 3WM, Mixx FM & The Weekly Advertiser Horsham, racking up 2,061.56 kilometres for the month.

One participant for this team – Heidi Higginson (main photo) – hit 506.12klms, the highest by an individual for the Network.

In total, ACE Radio Broadcasters raised $2,332.77 for Beyond Blue, an organisation dedicated to supporting mental health and well-being in Australia.

Mark Taylor expressed his gratitude, saying “We are extremely proud of our team’s dedication to this cause. Mental health is an issue that affects many, and we are committed to making a positive impact in our community. We are thrilled to donate this amount to Beyond Blue and support their valuable work.”

The generous contribution from ACE Radio Broadcasters will aid Beyond Blue in its mission to provide essential support, resources, and assistance to those affected by mental health challenges across Australia.
