4BU & HITZ seek content director following restructure and departure

Former Editor & Content Director

Grant Broadcasters’ Bundaberg operation, including stations 4BU and HITZ, is recruiting a content director.

The job will also involve hosting the Drive shift on HITZ 93.9.

The restructured role comes as former CD, Mark Hamel, turns his full attention to 4BU Breakfast.

HITZ Drive announcer Tarrant Eriksen is also leaving radio to follow his partner.

Grant Broadcasters said in the wake of all the changes, it decided to bring the CD and Drive positions together.

Ryan Rathbone, group content director, also said he hopes to work with Erikson again, who he called a “wonderful talent”.

The regional broadcaster is seeking someone with at least five years’ on-air experience as well as two years’ in programming as either a content director, managing director or assistant program director.

Applications close on Friday next week and can be sent to Rathbone.

Gee Viv, they’re a bit ambitious aren’t they … wanting someone who has been a “managing director” to drop in pay scale to become a content/jock in Bundaberg?

They want the experience but not the opinions and knowledge that go with it, come in, sit down, don’t talk.
