2GF’s 90th birthday inspires eight page feature in local paper

Happy 90th birthday to the Super Radio Network’s 2GF in Grafton, celebrating their anniversary on December 15, 2023.  It was opened at 8pm on the same day in 1933 by Postmaster-General Archdale Parkhill.

The local newspaper The Clarence Valley Independent has marked the milestone with an eight page anniversary feature showing the importance of local radio, journalism and community to the region.

We also caught up with 2GF’s breakfast announcer Misty Fisher ahead of the occasion, who’s born and bred in Grafton and also in the middle of her Graduate Diploma in Radio and Podcasting with AFTRS.
