Triple M Newcastle’s Tanya & Steve celebrate 10 years on air

Newcastle’s top rating Breakfast Show – Triple M’s Tanya & Steve – have celebrated their 10-year on-air anniversary in style.

Marking the occasion last week, Tanya & Steve invited more than 200 loyal listeners to the exclusive event.

The party, held at Harrigan’s Cameron Park in Newcastle, was hailed a huge success, as the broadcast featured a listener proposal, live performances by Dave Gleeson from the The Screaming Jets, and a ‘tacky’ birthday cake.

Reflecting on the anniversary, Steve says “Celebrating 10 years of our show – that’s lot of 4am alarms. It’s also a huge chunk of our lives we have shared on air with you all, and you with us.”

“I personally think the greatest part is we have stuck to our ‘No BS’ show rule. Life is a rollercoaster, and we will ride it together, funny, sad, scary, tired, sick, wins, losses and everything in between.”

Tanya’s reflection was concise: “Best job. Best city. Best team. Best listeners. Best station. Could not be more grateful.”
