Triple M Footy wins three AFMA Awards

Former Assistant Editor

Triple M Footy has taken out three gongs at Australian Football Media Association Awards this week.

The Triple M Sunday Rub won the award for Most Outstanding Program featuring former coach Paul Roos.

The Most Outstanding Caller on radio award went to Brian Taylor, for his clarity, accuracy and flair for language when calling the great game of AFL.

Finally, the Lou Richards Media Award went to Chris Judd. The award is given to a former or current player now working in the media.

“The winning entry displayed newfound personality and humour to a commentator historically known for his serious side,” said the judges.

“This coupled with his compelling insights into the game made him the unanimous choice.”

Triple M Footy continues to call the finals this weekend, with Collingwood taking on Richmond this Friday September 21.
