The latest radio ratings for Horsham and Hamilton in Victoria have been released, with Ace Radio Network‘s MIXX FM coming out on top in both regions.

This survey was the first in the region since November 2014.

In Horsham, MIXX was listened to most by 32% of People 10+ (-3.3), finishing ahead ahead of stablemates 3WM who rose to 27.8% (+4.6).

Since the last survey, ABC Western Victoria dropped in the ratings, to 19.3% (-6.3).

These results were reflected in the Breakfast slot as well, with MIXX FM’s Breakfast show of Matt Lipiarski and Courtney McIntyre finishing on top.

The duo are nominated for for Best On-Air Team in the country category of the 2018 ACRAs.

“The relationship we have with our listeners through to our clients is well and truly reinforced by this result and proves we are hitting the mark in providing exactly what both our clients and audience want,” said 3WM and MIIX FM general manager Brendan O’Loughlin.

MIIX FM Hamilton also remained the most listened to station, with 32.5% (-1.5) overall for People 10+, ahead of 3HA.

Courtney and Lippi’s Breakfast show, which also broadcasts into Hamilton, was also #1.

“We’re proud of our commitment to providing our local communities with outstanding local radio, produced by a small but very dedicated team of outstanding individuals”, said 3HA and MIXX FM general manager Stephen Jones.

Horsham is located 300km northwest of Melbourne and its commercial stations 3WM and MIXX FM serve 57,000 people aged 10+.

Hamilton is located in Victoria’s wool-growing Western District, with 3HA and MIXX FM serving 45,900 people aged 10+.

“The stations in Horsham and Hamilton provide an excellent service to their regional communities, so it’s good to see their efforts being recognised,” said CRA chief executive Joan Warner.

Surveys for the two areas were conducted between August 13 and September 1 by Xtra Insights, with 600 participants in each.
