NOVA Entertainment’s Matt Dower to finish up

NOVA Entertainment’s group production director Matt Dower has announced his resignation to take on the challenge of running his own production and voice over business.

He says it’s something he’s been mulling over for a while as he juggled work demands with his side projects such the Tony Martin podcasts ’Childproof’ and ‘Sizzletown’.

Matt has been with NOVA Entertainment for almost ten years and has played a key role in a number of network projects including:

  • developing and building the smooth fm production sound
  • guiding the production group through the national roll out of the Zetta play out system,
  • co-ordinating and assisting the Nova network in numerous ‘Red Room’ performances and Red Room Global network activities.

For all that, Matt says the time is right to say farewell.

“Working alongside the country’s finest audio producers, on air talent and programming team for the past decade at  NOVA Entertainment has been an absolute honour; particularly in the role of Group Production Director for the past five years, building outstanding radio and a world class production team.”

“Having accomplished all I set out to in the role, I’ve decided the time is right to pack up the pots and pans and focus on my own voiceover company.”

Matt finishes up in the first week of June and Nova has already found his replacement in Dan Pearson, who has been Matt’s 2IC.

All the very best with the new venture Matty D, you are a true superstar of the industry and more importantly, A ripping bloke and I reckon you leave radio as one of the very few people that no one has ever had a bad word to say about you.
If there is anyone, they’re not worth worrying about.
