Nova 919 opens nominations for SA’s Teacher of the Year

Supported by Bendigo Bank and Channel 9, Nova 919 have just launched nominations for Teacher of the Year in Adelaide.

Determined by a judging panel, winners will take away a cash prize and the title of ‘Teacher of the Year’ in their chosen categories.

NOVA Entertainment’s CEO Cathy O’Connor used the launch to highlight the important role of teachers are in the everyday lives of children.

“We’re extremely excited to launch ‘Teacher of the Year’ in an effort to take a step back from day to day academic pressures to acknowledge the qualities that make up these amazing people,” she said.

Minister for Education and Child Development Susan Close encourages that “everyone in the school community and beyond to nominate a teacher who they think is worthy of this award.

Radio listeners can nominate a teacher worthy of this award now, with winners to be announced in September.
