Media Watch take ARN to task

Last night Media Watch had a story on a recent integrated client solution run by ARN across many of their metropolitan stations.

The solution involved a quick intro before playing the full Coles version of 'Down Down' by Status Quo. Then the announcer would back announce it with another throw-away Coles mention.

Clever client integration or an ad disguised as program content ?

Watch the full Media Watch story here and judge for yourself.

Why would you soil your product by playing a 3-4 minute Ad? I hope everyone that was listening at the time switched to another station.
Anonymous (9:53am 07 Aug 2012)
This was an ad - ARN knew what they were doing. Why else would you play that shit song?
John Laws (10:43am 07 Aug 2012)
Brilliant strategy! You learnt from the best ARN. Say hello to my friends at ACMA for me

When no one is listening you've got to be smart, in any case no ones listening!!!
