Kyle Sandilands makes the switch to 2GB
Kyle Sandilands hopped over to AM radio last Friday for a chat with 2GB’s Ben Fordham on his Drive show.
Kyle was at 2GB to chat about a charity fundraiser he’ll host on October 18 for the Zambi Wildlife Retreat, but inevitably the chat turned around to Kyle’s radio career.
At one point Macquarie Media CEO and Kyle’s old boss, Adam Lang joined in the conversation, during which time the KIIS host pointed out that Macquarie owner John Singleton had promised him a future job.
“It might surprise you that one of the owners of this joint has said whenever I want to come and work here they’ll make a spot available,” said Kyle.
“It wasn’t Adam…” he continued, gesturing at Lang.
Ben then decided to stir the pot a bit further, asking “who’s shift do you see yourself taking one day?” at which point Lang quickly removed himself from the room.
2GB, along with Macquarie’s other stations 4BC, 6PR and 3AW now fall within a new combined media portfolio following the merger between Fairfax Media and Nine Entertainment last week.
