Kyle and Jackie O ask Nicole Kidman about ‘that’ Oscars clap

KIIS’s Kyle & Jackie O got to the bottom of Nicole Kidman’s highly publicised ‘Oscars clap’ this morning.

“I had this huge ring on that was not my own, and I was terrified of damaging it,” she told Kyle & Jackie O this morning, defending her choice to clap in a “seal-like” fashion. “I didn’t not want to clap, that would be awkward.”

Kidman is a Goodwill Ambassador for UN Women, the organisation that drove International Women’s Day.

She was to take part in yesterday’s Hit Network breakfast broadcast alongside some of Hit’s top female talent including Heidi Anderson (Hit92.9), Abby Coleman (Hit105), Ash London and Carrie Bickmore.

But Kidman was a no-show yesterday. However, the actress did appear on-air with Em Rusciano and Harley Breen this morning.
