Judith Chapman departs Spirit Radio Karratha after 13 years

Former Assistant Editor

Spirit Radio Karratha has lost its station boss Judith Chapman, who announced this morning she is moving on.

Chapman has been with the station for 13 years and has spent the last eight as station boss.

She read out a farewell letter on air this morning, bidding adieu to listeners, clients and colleagues that she has worked with for over a decade.

“Running a radio station in a remote location like Karratha has been really challenging,” she said. “With cyclones, tornados and lightning strikes that have all threatened to take us off the airwaves.

“I feel luck to have been part of the community, and I feel proud of my contributions of the last eight years.”

Chapman is planning on travelling around Australia with her husband Ian and working on her business My Memory Lane.
