Mix FM Utah rebrands to Your Mom 105.1 FM after listener comp

Over the years, there have been some great contesting ideas that have captured listeners’ imaginations.

But, a radio station in the US may have taken it to a whole new level.

Mix 105.1 in Salt Lake City, Utah recently handed the renaming of the station to its listeners.

They avoided Station McStation Face with its audience choosing Your Mom 105.1.

It followed a month-long competition and thousands of votes and program director and mornings host Jon Watkins says they were blown away by the response.

But alas, the re-brand is not permanent for the CHR station.
