What happens when you own a paper, a radio network and a TV network

The NZ ratings came out Friday and we noticed something online in the press in New Zealand.

Two different headlines, one from the New Zealand Herald and one from 3News.co.nz.

What is interesting about them is the Herald is owned by APN who also own NZME/TRN….and the headline is positive towards them.

MediaWorks on the other hand own 3News (TV Network in NZ) and yep, have a guess at the headline there?

With Cross Media ownership in the headlines here in Australia, it’s good to know that nothing like that would ever happen here? Oh, hang on.
