Ticket to ride: ABC Radio Perth takes its Breakfast show on the road

To celebrate its recent move to 102.5FM, ABC Radio Perth pulled off a local broadcasting first last week, when it took its Breakfast show on the road, broadcasting live for three hours on an electric Transperth bus, as it travelled 102.5km across Perth.

“From 5am in far-northern Butler, we rolled into sunny Rockingham just after 8am with a bus load of happy listeners and a unique broadcasting experience completed,” Breakfast host Mark Gibson said on LinkedIn.

“A huge thank you to the ABC Perth team, the technical wizards who ensured we stayed on air the whole time, the PTA for providing the bus, our listeners who tuned in, and especially those who came along for this one-off radio event.”
