More Super Radio Network stations start streaming
Real FM Mudgee and Tamworth’s TMFM 95.5 and 92.9FM have commenced streaming services today, joining 2MG, also in Mudgee, Sydney‘s 2SM, plus Newcastle‘s 2HD and NEWFM in being accessible to listen to anywhere.
The Tamworth stations’ General Manager Steve Nicholas said:
“Radio continues to be one of Australia’s most trusted and immediate forms of media, and streaming allows us to meet listeners wherever they are,” Mr Nicholas said. “Whether someone has moved away from the region, is travelling for work, or simply prefers listening online, they can now stay connected to the stations, personalities and local content they know and love.”
Program Director and 92.9FM Breakfast Announcer Jarrad Brooke added:
“It’s also fantastic news for artists, promoters and industry partners. Streaming allows their music, interviews and campaigns to reach audiences well beyond our coverage areas while still maintaining the local connection that makes our stations unique.”
TMFM switched from AM (2TM 1287AM) to FM a year ago.
The roll out will continue over the coming months, making it easier for listeners to tune in and catch up wherever they are.

The stream is a simple click of the button, as above, on the stations’ websites.
Well Done! this network keeps taking good strides forward.
The launch of more online streams for Super Radio Network stations is certainly a positive step in the right direction, but it’s really the kind of thing that should’ve been done a decade ago…or whenever that C.2013/14 dispute which involved every regional commercial broadcaster ended.
From memory, there were a number of SRN regional stations which were streaming pre-dispute which still haven’t come back online!
