The Hit Network’s Christie Hayes celebrates return to radio after birth of baby girl

The Hit Network’s Dan & Christie Breakfast show is celebrating the return of co-host Christie Hayes, who’s back behind the mic following the birth of her daughter Marigold – aka Goldie – in November last year.

Returning to brekky across Tasmania and regional Victoria, the former Home & Away actor said she was glad to be back, thanking listeners for their support and paying tribute to Hit Workday announcer Issy Roldan, who filled in for Christie while she was on maternity leave.

Using her return to openly discuss the realities of motherhood, Christie spoke candidly about balancing work and parenting, bringing baby Goldie into the studio and the pressures many mothers feel around breastfeeding in the workplace.

Christie said she hoped the conversation would help normalise breastfeeding at work and encourage more supportive environments for returning mums.

Christie said on air: “I’ve missed you guys – it’s so good to be back! We love our beautiful listeners. Issy did an outstanding job. It’s just so good to be back, and there’s so much for Dan and I to catch up on after six months!”

Listen to Dan & Christie across Tasmania and Regional Victoria on the Hit Network from 6-9am weekdays, also on LiSTNR.
