‘That ain’t Townsville’: Recreating the Aussie Lamb ad

Power 100’s Archie and Bretz have recreated the classic un-Australian lamb ad, with a Townsville twist.

In the spoof, the Breakfast duo discuss a series of disappearances that are the result of individual acts in the community that just ‘ain’t Townsville.’

Reasons for disappearing include asking to put the soccer on in the pub, wearing a stinger suit in the nets at the beach, and a judge giving a repeat offender an appropriate sentence in court.

All offenders that ‘ain’t Townsville’ disappear into thin air, reappearing in Cairns as punishment.

“After discussing this year’s ad on the show, we wanted to seize the moment and thought it would be eye-catching to make a local version of Sam Kekovich’s iconic commercial,” Archie Arenson said.

The video was created with the help of Power 100’s Digital Content Producer, Jack Tree

Not listening to Pricey for breakfast in Townsville is un-Australian.

Renaming 4TO to Sydney brand Triple M is un-Townsville.
