Showcasing the dynamic world of community radio
It’s the annual event which showcases the dynamic world of community radio for everyone – from seasoned enthusiasts to curious newcomers.
CBAA’s AMRAP – the Australian Music Radio Airplay Project – today launches Sounds Like Community Radio, to be held this year at Brisbane’s 4ZZZFM, which is celebrating its 50th year of broadcasting.

On Wednesday September 3rd between 1pm and 6pm, the station – along with CBAA’s AMRAP, Triple R, PBS 106.7FM, Three D Radio, Edge Radio and 2SER 107.3 – will host a free live music event.
4ZZZFM will throw open its doors to Studio 3 and the car park to broadcast live music from Australian artists, including Platonic Sex, Roger Knox, Last Quokka, Charlie Needs Braces, IJALE and BADASSMUTHA, sharing unique stories and captivating live sets.

Then the BIGSOUND Listening Sessions return on Thursday 4 September in The Warrar Room at The Precinct.
It’s a chance for artists to meet the people from some of Australia‘s most beloved community radio stations and get valuable feedback and best practices on how to get their music heard on community radio.
Firas Massouh from PBS 106.7FM (Melbourne), Simon Winkler and Sam Cummins from Triple R (Melbourne), Cassidy Burke at 4ZZZ FM (Brisbane), Lachlan Holland from 2SER (Sydney), Aeron Clark from Edge Radio (Hobart) and Tiff Stodart and Georgina Oatley from Three D Radio (Adelaide) will all be on hand to answer questions.
