SEN’s revamped Breakfast line up revealed

Reporter

Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) has revamped its Breakfast lineup, with the program to feature a new pairing in addition to the return of some familiar faces in 2023.

Long-time SEN Breakfast hosts Garry Lyon and Tim Watson will continue to steer the program on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and will also launch their own unique podcast in 2023, creating a weekly program called The Ramble.

It will see them explore their passions away from football and sport analysis, with an irreverent take on topics across pop culture, current trends and their hobbies.

Collingwood legend Nathan Buckley will join forces with Kane Cornes on Monday mornings. Pairing on SEN for the first time, the duo will provide analysis and in-depth discussion, giving listeners a fresh perspective on the weekend’s footy action.

Friday mornings see the return of Kane Cornes and David King for Fireball Fridays.

SEN Breakfast can be heard on SEN 1116am and the SEN App. The South Australian audience will continue to hear the thoughts and views of Kane Cornes, with the Monday and Friday programs also available on SEN SA 1629am SEN, with Jarrod Walsh and Mark Bickley featuring on SEN SA Breakfast each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

SEN Chief Executive Craig Hutchison says the variety of opinions will result in the program appealing to a wide variety of listeners with plenty of news, views and debate keeping the SEN audience entertained right throughout the week.

“We are really excited by the talent assembled for SEN Breakfast in 2023. Each pairing is really unique and the revamp to our breakfast lineup will bring fresh perspective and insights to our listeners.

In Brisbane, no one has changed their minds, following the Adam Lang – John Singleton led embarrassment of Macquarie Sports Radio rating below 1% and quickly canned when Nine settled their acquisition. Now, almost no one is listening to SEN’s hijacking of the Brisbane institution that was 4KQ.

Regardless of well known talent Pat Welsh and Ian Healy, breakfast share is as dismal, if not lower than the imported MSR.

Radio TAB has a great breakfast show at a fraction of the staff cost that covers all sports and is broadcast from Brisbane. No one has “made the switch”, hence the lack of publicity in this SEN media release.
