SCA’s Peter Lewis auditing ABC/SBS: outcry

Not everyone agrees Peter Lewis was the right man to be commisioned by Malcolm Turnbull to audit the efficiency of the ABC and SBS.

Lewis is the former Chief Financial Officer of Seven West Media and was recently appointed CFO of Southern Cross Austereo.

It’s this new job that’s a problem for Friends of the ABC Campaign Manager Glenys Stradijot.

She has labelled Lewis’ appointment as ‘improper as well as inappropriate’.

“After having been given access to confidential information about the internal operations of the ABC and SBS, Mr Lewis is soon to commence a position as chief financial officer of a major commercial competitor to the ABC.”
