Sandilands really sick or dummy spit?

It’s been the Kyle and Jackie O Show… minus Kyle Sandilands for most of this week.

The KIIS breakfast host has been off air since Tuesday, reportedly suffering from a bout of the flu.

One media source has speculated his ‘sickness’ is more of a dummy spit and suggested he knew his show was in for a decline in Tuesday’s ratings.

Sandilands lost his number one breakfast position to WSFM’s Jonesy and Amanda.

KIIS breakfast sits at number two but is still a long way ahead of the Nova, Triple M and 2DayFM shows. (See the results and analysis here.)

Earlier this week, ARN National Content Director Duncan Campbell told Radio Today: “Kyle and Jack are number two FM. That’s still a very strong breakfast show and as Kyle often says: ‘there are eight surveys in a year and it’s nice for us as a company to have the rivalry between the number one and two stations’.”
