Power FM on top in Ballarat Xtra Insights Survey 1 for 2024.

Despite a slight dip (down 0.8 to 27.3), 103.1 Power FM still leads the charge overall in the first Ballarat Xtra Insights Survey for 2024, coming in ahead of 3BA and triple j.
Power FM’s Jack and LJ are the clear leaders in Breakfast, though down slightly from 26.9 to 26.7.
3BA (which, along with Power FM is an ARN owned station) is next on 20.7 (down 1.4) and triple j holding down third, rising from 8.8 to 10.0 (up 1.2) in the brekky shift.
It’s the first survey of the region in two and a half years, with the previous one in May 2018.

Well done to ARN in Ballarat, but I wonder about the accuracy of surveys in areas where metro stations can easily be heard. I used to work at Power FM in Ballarat in another life, and we could hear Nova, Triple M and Fox just fine.
In reply to The Power, I can’t pickup Melbourne stations on the western suburbs of Ballarat. I can pickup Bendigo 3BO/triple M and occasionally listen to that. Keep up the good work ARN. We need as many local voices as possible in media here in Ballarat
