Open for business: Sunny Coast mayor officially welcomes Mark & A.B to the airwaves

When you’re launching a new Breakfast radio duo, you’ve got to do it right. Right?

So this week, Queensland’s 92.7 Mix FM pulled out all the stops, calling upon Sunshine Coast Mayor Rosanna Natoli to officially welcome the Mark & A.B brekky show to the airwaves.

As she performed her official duties in the studio, the Mayor said “It is a very, very proud moment that I – as Mayor of the Sunshine Coast – officially declare this broadcaster is open for business!”

And with both care and fanfare, the red ribbon was cut.

Last month, GSL Media announced that former Rush Hour Queensland co-host Annabelle ‘A.B’ Brett would be joining Mark Darin on 92.7 Mix FM Breakfast in 2025, replacing Caroline Hutchinson, who recently wrapped up 26 years on air on the Sunny Coast.

By way of introduction this week, A.B – who grew up on the Sunny Coast and considers this her dream job – was grilled by Mark with on-air games including ‘Get To Know the Newbie.’
