Nova’s massive pop up slip ‘n’ slide

Staff Writer

You’d be pushed to find something as much fun – the great Australian backyard tradition – a few sheets of plastic, detergent and a hose and let rip.

Nova Slidestreet is taking it to the next level.

Slidestreet is a 315 metre pop up inflatable slip’n’slide as long as two AFL ovals back to back.

Slidestreet premiered in the heart of the Perth Central Business District last month. Partnering with the Nova Network, Slidestreet will now roll out to the rest of the country appearing in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney this month.

Nova listeners will be able to slip ‘n’ slide from busy streets to iconic landmarks with Slidestreet popping up at:

  • Bartels Road, Adelaide –Sunday 18th January
  • Lansdowne Street at Fitzroy Gardens, Melbourne – Saturday 24th January
  • Parkes Drive, Centennial Park, Sydney – Monday 26th January (Australia Day)

NE have done the hard yards for a couple of months with 100% council approval to activate in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney.

Nova Slidestreet is a slide that’s more than a ride. The event will offer food trucks, live Nova broadcasts, DJs, pop up bars and more to keep participants entertained.

The event appears and vanishes within 24 hours – one day, sliding down the street in boardies and the next, it’s back to peak hour and deadlines.
